Keeping seniors on their toes

The junior year of high school is brutal. It's high pressure andhigh stakes because it's the most significant year in terms ofgetting into college. Students have to take SATs and ACTs and work onAdvanced Placement courses and getting A's and B's. In addition, theyhave to be in clubs or in sports or do volunteer work to show theyare well-rounded and have a sense of civic responsibility. In otherwords, it helps if you can get straight A's while playing thetrombone, doing cartwheels and ladling out chili at the local soupkitchen.
