Qld: Coalition promises crackdown on shonky guides

The opposition Coalition parties in Queensland say they're determined to crack down
on shonky international tour guides shepherding tourists into selected shops in exchange
for kickbacks.

Opposition leader ROB BORBIDGE says if the Coalition's elected to goverment in a fortnight's
time he'll introduce a new licensing system for inbound tour operators to stop what he
calls "legalised extortion" at the expense of legitimate traders.
